The series Death Note centers around a high school student named Light Yagami who discovers a supernatural notebook, The Death Note, that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim's name while picturing his or her face. The story follows Light's attempt to create and rule a world cleansed. Death Note premiered October 20, 2007 at Midnight/11c and completed its run on July 5, 2008 at 12:30am/11:30c.Continued to air in reruns until January 9, 2010. Rights to the series have since expired.
